The Company

CR Natural, S.A., is a Costa Rican company devoted to the production of the finest quality carao fruit, trademarked Tropical Health Foods TM carao.  We are the world's first and only exporter of carao fruit.  Since 2002 we have shipped it to customers all over the world.  Our representative for all sales around the world is Lloyd Standish, a USA citizen.

Carao fruit is a natural food, generally mixed with milk to make a delicious beverage.  Although it is world-renowned for its health-giving properties, described on such websites as http://anemiaanswer.com, CR Natural makes no health claims for carao fruit.  CR Natural labels and markets Tropical Health Foods carao as a natural food product. 

The Product

Our carao fruit product is currently 100% wild-crafted, meaning it is produced by wild trees.  To our knowledge, no commercial plantings of carao trees exist anywhere in the world.

CR Natural's carao is 100% pure carao fruit extracted from the large woody carao pods by a low temperature process that uses only pure spring water.  Concentration of the carao nectar to the final honey-like consistency is done in stainless-steel solar evaporating trays.  In the near future we hope to publish detailed information on our production techniques, to stimulate the production of carao around the world.

This low temperature process, unique in Costa Rica (and as far as we know the world), produces the highest quality carao possible, indistinguishable in taste and (we believe) nutrition from carao fruit still in the pod.

Our production of carao is very limited due to the fact that only scattered wild trees exist.  We therefore are not able to provide the product to large distributors.  We do have a 30% wholesale discount on 10+ bottles and 40% on 40+ bottles (see our order form).
